Who we are

Motarix Automotive, Samora, Mkwepu Street, Plot No. 27, Posta, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We operate the Motarix app and this website. Contact us at support@motarixautomotive.com.

Browsing without an account

There is no sign-up and no login screen. The app creates an anonymous account on your device on first launch so that your garage and your stock alerts have somewhere to live. It is not linked to your name, your email or your phone number unless you choose to contact us.

What stays on your phone

• Your basket
• The vehicles saved in your garage
• Parts you have saved for later

Uninstalling the app removes all of it.

What we hold

• Your anonymous account identifier
• Saved vehicles, so your garage follows you if you change device
• A notification token, only if you turn notifications on
• Back-in-stock alerts you have asked for
• Order and invoice records, if you place an order

Notifications

Notifications are optional and are off by default for anything promotional. If you ask to be told when a part comes back into stock, we send you that one message.

Ordering on WhatsApp

When you send an order from the app, it opens WhatsApp with the message already written. At that point you are messaging us on WhatsApp, and WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy apply to that conversation. We keep the message so we can fulfil and support your order.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share your data
• We do not run advertising or advertising identifiers
• We do not track you across other apps or websites
• We do not ask for card details — the app takes no payments

Keeping records

If you place an order, Tanzanian tax and accounting law requires us to keep the order and invoice for five years. If you delete your account we remove your name, phone number and delivery address from those records first.

Your choices

You can delete your account and its data at any time from the Account tab in the app. See Delete your account for the steps, or email us and we will do it for you.
